INSTRUCTORS - ROB VELTMAN

Rob Veltman has been practicing the grappling arts for over 25 years. He started wrestling at the age of 8 and continued that sport through to the end of High School. Afterwards he continued to help coach his high school team and was awarded the Barry Hardman Award for contributions to G.D.H.S. Athletics.

Rob then went on to start practicing Judo and through this became involved with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His love for this new sport led him to the famed Grappling Arts Academy in Woodbridge, Ontario where he trained under Syl & Dan Moroney. Rob is still the only person ever to gain a black belt under the Moroney brothers.

Rob currently trains under the tutelage of Professor David Adiv and is a Black Belt and Professor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a part of the Royler Gracie/David Adiv association. At the same time he is 3rd degree black belt in Shorinji Ryu Karate and a 1st degree black belt in Judo.
